Twist And Shout
This album was a unique Canadian release
2.2.1 | Fifth pressing - Brackets label
This is the fifth pressing of Twist and Shout, and it was released only in MONO. This pressing is recognized by a change on the label legal text. While earlier pressing prior to June of 1966 featured text writing "Capitol Records of Canada", the new labels rather displayed "Capitol Records (Canada) LTD.". These are called the "rainbow brackets labels".
Availability
This fifth variation was available between June, 1966 and late 1969** (and possibly until 1971 since no green target label copies have yet been confirmed) for approximately 4-5 years, when the label design changed to the red target label - (see entry 2.5.1). Although this pressing has been available for a longer period than its previous incarnations, this is not necessarily the most common Rainbow label variation for this album, as fewer copies have sold during that period than early one when it was first released.
** Please note that this album was never released on the Apple label (which is why no entry for 2.3.1 was created), and was most likely not released on the green target label either (see entry 2.4.1). This is why it is considered to have possibly been available until 1971.

General Information
Capitol Records of Canada was reincorporated as CAPITOL RECORDS (CANADA) LTD. From this point on (June 1966), all new labels would feature the new corporate information. This rainbow label remained until Capitol changed its design in 1969 in favour of the green target label (see 2.4.1).
This variation was still only available in Mono, although mono was phased out in 1968 for the regular catalog. No stereo release of Twist and Shout was prepared in Canada until 1976.
Pressing Information
As was the case for all previous variations, Capitol of Canada subcontracted once again the RCA pressing plant in Smith Falls (Ontario) to manufacture new batches of albums with the new "brackets" label. Matrix numbers sequencing is inconsistent at this point, having reverted back to lower matrix numbers XEX-455-2 (reused older plates?).
Cover
The cover of this variation is identical to the previous variation (2.1.4), printed by Parr's Litho, with a straight 10 mm inner seam construction. Some copies are found with smaller 4 mm inner seams.

Some copies feature a much lighter shade of pink (left: early cover, right: later cover).

Otherwise, the cover construction is identical to all previous variations, with a front slick construction.

Packaging
This rainbow brackets edition was shipped in tight shrink wrap, with or without the newer red and white "ATTENTION / CAUTION" Capitol / Pathe paper LP inner sleeve.
