1. Images and other content used on this site are mostly derived from the original catalogue of EMI and other record companies operating in Canada over the years (e.g. Quality, London, Pye, Columbia, etc.).
2. There are no commercial purposes (hidden or otherwise) in presenting the information herein, other than to provide an accurate historical record for present and future users of the site.
3. The intention is to stimulate a greater general interest in the different variations of original records and tapes issued in Canada since the 1960s, their evolution and relation to the Canadian side of things, and to centralize and archive the organic knowledge accumulated by the collector community over the years.
4. Most images presented in this archive are scanned from the authors' personal collections. When this was not possible, the authors do their best to acknowledge the source from which the image was taken, and welcome corrections from contributors and rights holders.
5. Fair dealing (Canadian Copyright Act). The use of copyrighted material on this site is believed to fall within the fair dealing provisions of the Canadian Copyright Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-42, s. 29), for the purposes of research, private study, education, criticism, and review. The site is operated on a non-commercial basis.
6. Trademarks and affiliation. The Beatles Canadian Collection is an independent reference archive maintained by collectors. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Corps Ltd., Universal Music Group, EMI, Capitol Records, or any other record label, artist, or rights holder. "The Beatles," "Apple," and other names, logos, and trade dress shown on the site remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and reference purposes only.
7. Use and sharing of material. The site's original content (text, layouts, and original scans) is shared for non-commercial use under an attribution-style arrangement. You are welcome to share or feature material from this site, but only if both of the following conditions are met:
A. the authors are credited, and
B. a link back to the original page on www.beatlescanada.ca is provided.
Any commercial use (resale, reprinting in a paid publication, inclusion in a paid product, etc.) requires prior written permission from the authors. This restriction does not affect content that belongs to third parties (record labels, photographers, etc.), which remains subject to the rights of its original owners.
8. Queries and takedown requests. If you have a question about images or content used on the site, or if you are a rights holder and believe that material on the site infringes your rights, please contact ironlightdesignserge@gmail.com. Requests are reviewed individually and material is removed or amended where appropriate. The site operates on a goodwill basis and will always respect the wishes of the online community and of rights holders.
9. Accuracy and liability. The information on this site is provided "as is" for reference and educational purposes. While considerable care is taken to ensure that pressing details, variations, and historical facts are accurate, no warranty is given as to completeness or correctness. Collectors and users rely on the information at their own discretion, particularly when making purchasing decisions.
10. Governing law. This site is operated from Canada and the content is provided in accordance with Canadian law.
