The Beatles Christmas flexi discs were never produced in Canada, nor were they officially available through the Canadian fan club. But at least two of them (1968 and 1969) have been found with the Canadian fan club stamp on the back. It is not known if they ordered just a few copies as a promotional giveaway, or if the fan club unofficially ordered a batch of copies for distribution here in Canada, but at least a few of the later discs seem to have made their way up north to a few lucky members of the fan club.
The Beatles Forever Series was launched in 1976 to promote the new reissues of the Beatles catalogue, this coincided with the opening of Capitol's new own pressing plant in Mississauga. A generic sleeve was produced for every single of the series (four heads awkwardly superimposed over a union jack T-shirt), while the back featured the specific title it was housing. A rare Beatles Forever cardboard box housing all 26 singles were produced in small quantities for stores around the country, as well as a sticker and a white T-shirt of the Union Jack cover... How clever!
These releases were never produced in Canada on vinyl, but were imported mostly from the UK, and some from the USA, although some have CD version made in Canada. They are listed here because they were readily available in stores in Canada, but worldwide distribution usually originated from one pressing plant.
