50th Anniversary Remix (2017)

2017 marked the first release of a new approach to producing "new" Beatles music. In this case, Pepper was ideal to start with; the whole album was originally mixed on a 4-track machine, converging and piling up tracks together to liberate new tracks for the recording. The new process allowed the "demixing" of the tracks to spread the individual tracks on a modern, much larger mixing desk. The album was then remixed according to the original sound engineering notes, revealing a great deal of details previously buried deep into the mix. Following this release, other albums have seen the remix treatment, with outtakes, offered in lavish box sets, both vinyl and CDs.

No Canadian pressing of these remixes were ever produced, both vinyl and CD editions being imported from either the EU or the USA. They are listed here because these were the versions available in Canadian stores.
