Now And Then (2023)

Now And Then was the last "new" Beatles song to be released. It was originally intended to be pn Antholgy 3 (after Free As A Bird and Real Love), but the result with the technology from the late 1990s was deemed unsatisfactory and this 3rd song was dropped from the project. In the early 2020s, following Peter Jackson's new IA-based technology to extract audio from a file (the AI used here never generated new audio, but was simply used to separate audio tracks from a combined track), the track was revisited and completed after 30 years. For the occasion, the new track was released in many formats (7", 10", 12", CD and cassette), many of which were exclusive to the Beatles online store. These were pressed at Optimal in Germany for worldwide distribution and were cut as a "Half Speed Master". None of these were pressed in Canada, but all the non-exclusive releases were imported from the EU and were readily available in Canadian record stores.
