← Beatles Albums Released in Canada
"Love" has a fundamental connection with Canada since the project was initiated for a special circus production by Le Cirque du Soleil, an entertainment company founded in Baie-Saint-Paul, Québec, by Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix.
Love was a theatrical production by Cirque du Soleil, launched in 2006, that blended the reimagined and remixed music of the Beatles with Cirque’s signature visual artistry. The project was a collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and Apple Corps Ltd., marking Apple’s first venture into live theatrical production. Written and directed by Dominic Champagne, Love was guided musically by George Martin and his son Giles Martin, who together crafted the show’s unique soundscape.
A lavish audio companion set was prepared on LP and CD, but similarly to previous albums, the LP versions were not produced locally, but were imported from the EU or the USA. Some CDs were manufactured in Canada (listed below), but as was the case with "1", many variations (expanded edition, promos, etc.) were available in Canadian shops, but these were produced only in the EU or USA and were imported to Canada. These imported editions are not listed here besides promos that were sent to radio stations in Canada.
