The Capitol Albums Vol. 1 and 2
(2004, 2006)

In 2004, Capitol released a first box set of the early USA Beatles albums that had never been issued on CD since the worldwide catalog was standardized in 1987. This was a special edition set that featured the first 4 US albums, followed by the next 4 in 2006. Collectors were hoping for the 3rd final set, but this was never issued. The CDs featured both Mono and Stereo mixes. These (as well as the promo samplers) were USA-production onl, and were imported to Canada.

A later CD box set from January 17 2014 finally featured all the USA format albums, but was criticized for not using the original US mixes, but the new international remastered mixes. Finally, a vinyl box set was issued in mono was issued 10 years later (2024). These are featured in a separate entry.
